WRITING: You can be doing any type of writing including..
-Free write journal entries
-Letter to someone
-Your opinion about something
-Or try out some of the interesting writing prompt generators on our Portaportal.
READING: All forms of school appropriate reading are acceptable including reading magazines (I have a bunch listed on the Portaportal, fanfiction, and any free reading book you are enjoying. You can also read a friend's writing and give feedback.
BLOGGING AND WEBSITE CREATION: If you would like to start a blog or website, Weebly (right here) is a great place to do that, but you can also go to Blogger. You can write daily and have your friends sign up to follow your writing and thoughts.
POSTERS: If you are artistic and enjoy making posters for display, we need a number of them for the classroom. You can be working on these during P.A.T. day and/or when you have completed work in class. Here is a short list of posters we need made for students to look at, but see me if you don't find a topic that interests you...

-Parts of speech broken down (What's a noun, verb, adverb, adjective, conjunction, preposition?)
-Punctuation marks and how we use them.

-What should I do next? (what to do in class when you are finished with your work).

BOARD GAMES (limited to small, quiet groups): These are strictly P.A.T. day activities. We have the following: Boggle, UpWords, Scrabble, Apples to Apples.
MAKE A VIDEO: Work on your own or with friends using any of the video making tools online on one of these topics; or see me for an idea.
